Frequently Asked Questions
What is a bridal trial and do I need one?
A bridal trial is like a dress rehearsal for a stage performance. It allows you and your stylist to get to
know each other, and discuss your vision in-depth so we can create the perfect style for you. A bridal
trial will involve a full makeup application with lashes and hairstyling, so you can be sure you’re happy in
advance – there’ll be no surprises when it comes to your big day!
How long does a bridal trial take?
Including consultation time, makeup and hairstyling, a bridal trial generally takes 3 hours from
start to finish.
What products do you use for makeup and hair?
We only use the finest quality, tried-and tested high-end brands. These include Dior, Nars, Laura Mercier
and Hourglass for makeup, with Schwarzkopf, Tigi, Keune and Oribe for hair.
How do I book to secure my wedding services?
Contact us via email, phone, Instagram or our online booking form. We can offer an initial consultation,
confirm availability in relation to your wedding date, and discuss all your requirements. From there we
can simply book you an appointment and make your dreams come true!
Do you require a deposit fee?
Due to demand, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure any bookings.
Is there a minimum service required for a booking?
There is no minimum service requirement for in-salon bookings. However, there is sometimes a
minimum service requirement for mobile bookings, depending on the date required and your location.
Please contact us with your requirements in advance as we’ll try to accommodate all requests, no
matter how small.
I need services early in the morning, are you able to accommodate this?
Of course! The earliest we start our appointments is 4am, but we can also accommodate an earlier time depending on your location and number of people. There is a $25 artist fee for any appointments earlier
than 6am.
Can you travel to see a client on the day of the event?
Yes, absolutely. There is no travel fee for Toronto, but a travel fee may be applied for weddings and
services outside of Toronto, depending on your location.
Is there a travel fee for appointments at home or on location?
We may need to apply a travel fee, depending on your location. This will be down to artist travel time,
plus time spent unloading and sanitizing our equipment. We aim to be flexible wherever possible and
will advise of any fees in advance, so please contact us first with your requirements.
How long does it take to do hair or makeup?
Each service generally takes 1 hour. Bridal makeup / hair takes 1.5 hours per service. Time may also be extended
depending on your requirements – some styling techniques are more complicated than others, but we’ll
always try to advise in advance.
I’m not sure what makeup style to have on my special day. Can you help?
Absolutely! We want you to feel beautiful and confident following our service and always consider your
whole look, from your outfit and jewelry to the tone and requirements of your special occasion. We
recommend you to look for some inspiration on the likes of Pinterest and Instagram and then enjoy a
consultation with your expert stylist to find your perfect look.
What measures do you have in place to guard against Covid-19?
We are 100% committed to guarding against Covid-19 or any other form of virus resulting from cross-
contamination. Our makeup kit is cleaned and disinfected both before and after every appointment. We
use one-time-use/disposable cotton pads, swabs and applicators for all of our foundations, lipsticks,
concealers and mascaras.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
For makeup: we would recommend that you gently exfoliate your skin the night before your treatment,
and follow with a hydrating mask afterwards. Avoid trying any new products or skin treatments for the
month before your wedding. For hair: we would recommend that you clean and dry your hair with a rinse-off conditioner. Avoid using oils on your scalp or hair, and no other styling products except for a hair dryer. For best results, hair should be washed either on the day of your appointment, or the night before.
If you have prepared your own hair extensions for our stylists to weave, please clean them in advance
using shampoo, then brush and blow-dry until smooth.
Can you work on hair and makeup styles from different cultural
backgrounds?
Yes absolutely. We regularly work with clients from all cultural backgrounds and are skilled in styling
different hair types as well as accommodating a vast range of makeup requirements.
